Frequently Asked Questions
Like any retainer: the limits are the ones we mutually agree upon.
For a contract such as this, the limits would focus on responsibility, availability, and value provided.
Though there are some hard and set rules: we don’t tolerate BS, we don’t work weekends, we expect to be treated like fairly and properly (like any good person would) and so forth.
Many (if not most) of the stipulations though are flexible and negotiable.
You have our full agency on retainer to help with anything and everything from our core services: design, strategy and all things web.
Think of us as your friendly strategic partner in business to help you with the nerdy side of things. If it’s possible, we’ll try to do things inhouse, though like any good partner and executive: if we need additional talent or resources we’ll communicate that with you to find a solution that works.
All virtual CTO retainers are paid either: bi-weekly (twice a month like a salary), monthly quarterly or yearly though that frequency is setup at the start of the agreement and cannot be changed.

And yeah, that’s a silly answer. As any CTO level role, we’ll take on any and all technology stacks and get it working.
All retainers, regardless of payment frequency must be given notice of cancellation in writing at least 30 days after you want to cancel the agreement.
While the payment frequency can vary, the minimum contract for our Virtual CTO retainer is 3 months.
For our Virtual CTO retainers, you may pay online, direct debit / ACH, wire transfer, Transferwise, or send us a cheque through a reputable payroll service.
Yup. Shoot us a message and we’ll adjust accordingly. The goal is to be partners (virtually) so we’ll do what we can to make the partnership and relationship work.

Once we come to an agreement on goals, needs and how to approach the business we’ll discuss terms and then let our accounting departments handle it from there.
Nope, none at all.
We can certainly negotiate a fair split between pay-rate and benefits if you’d like to do that inside of a pure money agreement, though usually no: this isn’t a ‘thing’ where we come in as equity, buy in, or take over with stock like requirements.
We’re just a creative set of people who like to work and want to get the job done well.
